BUY 72 invalidated by hidden -305 absorption: bull trap in action

Flow z+1.5, Alert BUY 72 target 7144.3 --- and a -305 absorbed at 7134.75 with ML frames that kill the setup.

Market context

End of ETH session, just before 15:00 Paris time. The chart shows a 7110 to 7135 rally over the previous 15 minutes. Price now tests 7135.25 with an apparently perfect setup: Alert BUY 72 with structural stop at 7130.8 and target at 7144.3 (R/R above 2:1), Flow z+1.5 (strong momentum), BULL Signals 48. But Delta Pro reveals a -305 absorbed at 7134.75 and Absorption Pro displays Medium/Large (ML) frames exactly on that level: institutional counterparty identified.

Column-by-column reading

01

Delta Pro

-305 a 7134,75 (imbalance bid absorbée colossale)

The -305 on a single level is an order of magnitude above other column imbalances (mostly between -10 and -30). It's the footprint of a single large participant absorbed on the bid side.

  • --The fact it's ABSORBED (not followed by a sell-imbalance cascade) means an equivalent-size buying counterparty bought against it --- or the counterparty was selling and offered liquidity.
  • --In context (ML frames visible at that exact level on Absorption Pro), the likeliest read is: a large seller offered an ask ladder that absorbed -305 of buy flow. Institutional ceiling.
02

Absorption Pro

Cadres ML visibles a 7134,75, Z:5 POC:8 ABS:0 | 60min

Two 'ML' (Medium/Large size) frames appear precisely on level 7134.75, coinciding with the -305. Z:5 (five active zones, sustained activity), POC:8 (strong historical concentration), ABS:0 (no completed absorption declared yet, in progress).

  • --ML frames = Absorption Pro has detected Medium or Large size orders recharging on this level. Classic institutional iceberg.
  • --Alert Pro stop is at 7130.8: if absorption breaks the rally, stop is -4.5 points from entry and the 7144.3 target is unreachable.
03

Alert Pro

BUY 72 | S:7130,8 T:7144,3 | z:+1,5 TOX-M

Solid buy signal: 72 score, +1.5 z-score (above validation threshold), structural stop and generous target. On Alert Pro criteria alone, it's a takeable setup.

  • --The TOX-M tag is already there: moderate Toxicity. Alert Pro downgrades the signal to 72 instead of pushing it to 80+.
  • --Classic trap: Alert measures structure + momentum, not the fine-grained absorption hidden on a single level.
04

Flow Pro

Net: +604 | z: +1,5 BULL

Strongly positive 30s delta (+604), +1.5 z-score (statistical signal). 30s flow is firmly buying.

  • --A +604 Flow / z+1.5 seems to confirm the rally. But Flow measures aggressor delta, it doesn't see ask icebergs silently absorbing.
05

Signals Pro

BULL | Score:48 | B:3 S:1 | Net:102

BULL direction with 3 buy signals and 1 isolated sell. Moderate 48 score. Green dots at 7135.75 (53) and 7134.75 (53).

  • --Green dot at 7134.75 (53) on the SAME level as the -305 absorption: Signals reads a buy signal on the level where absorption plays against the buy. Generated by buy flow, not depth.
  • --The 1 sell signal (red dot at 7134.00, 45) is the subtle tell: Signals already detected a sell signal in the zone.
06

Toxicity Pro

TOXICITY 54 horizontale (MEDIUM) | CAUTION --- moderate tox

Reading 54 (MEDIUM) stable. No divergence shown. 'CAUTION --- moderate tox' banner means Dashboard is alerted but not fully blocked.

  • --CAUTION (not SAFE TO TRADE) during a BUY 72 signal is a flag: the risk module doesn't fully validate.
07

Heatmap Pro

Murs: 45 a 7135,75, 42 a 7136,25, 44 a 7132,00

45-contract ask wall at 7135.75 (2 ticks above LTP) and 42 at 7136.25. Below, 44-contract bid support at 7132.00.

  • --Ask walls are contiguous with the -305 absorption at 7134.75: the whole 7134.75-7136.25 zone is multi-level resistance. Alert's 7144.3 target assumes a clean break through it.

The setup mechanics

The bull trap relies on a visibility gap between modules: Alert, Flow and Signals measure momentum and structure but don't read fine microstructure on a single level. Absorption Pro and Delta Pro do. Here, momentum modules say BUY; microstructure modules say 'a large seller holds the ceiling'. The DynamiDoxa rule is hierarchical: when Absorption Pro shows ML frames on a level coinciding with a Delta outlier (-305), microstructure dominates. The buy signal is invalidated even with Alert at 72.

Verdict and recommended action

TRAP_DETECTED verdict. No long despite the Alert setup. Instead, the 7134.75-7136.25 level becomes a potential selling zone if a bearish divergence emerges on Toxicity Pro or Dashboard flips to DON'T TRADE. Wait for the tell: rejection candle, sell-imbalance cascade, or Signals score flipping BULL to BEAR.

Rule to remember

An ML frame on Absorption Pro coinciding with a Delta outlier defeats any opposing directional Alert.

Post-mortem validation

Validation at +2 min (15:01:46 screen): price fell from 7135.25 to 7129.50 (-5.75 points, 23 ticks). Flow flipped from z:+1.5 to z:-1.8 BEAR, Alert went from BUY 72 to 57 bearish, Signals flipped from BULL 48 to BEAR 36 with 3 sell signals, Dashboard back to DON'T TRADE --- toxic flow. A long taken at 14:59:44 would have been stopped out at 7130.8 (Alert stop), a -4.5 points loss --- the -305 absorption held its institutional-ceiling role and the rally never cleared the zone.

Trap to avoid: the false twin

The false twin: a genuine A+ continuation long shows Alert BUY 70+ with z-score above +1.0 --- BUT without ML frames on Absorption Pro at the target level, without an outlier imbalance like -305 or -200, and with BULL Signals above 50 (not a moderate 48). The trap tell is the 'absorbed Delta outlier + contiguous ML frame' combo. Without those two, the Alert can be followed.
